Read Carefully: The recommended dosage is 2oz.
(2 Tablespoons) per day for maintenance and 4 oz.
( 4 Tablespoons) per day if you are ill. If you are ill, you should take 2 oz in the morning (before you eat) and 2 oz in the evening (two hours after eating). Please follow the direction to the letter to achieve the best results
 
Brewing Instructions

Equipment Needed: 1 oz. dry Essiac Herbs ( 1 packet), 2 stainless steel pots or glass, oven mitts, metal fine mesh strainer, filtered or distilled water, clean glass bottles with caps (Do not use plastic bottles).
Do not use aluminum utensils of any kind.    1. Bring 2 quarts of water to a boil in a pot. Add 1 one ounce of Essiac Herbs. Boil gently for 10 minutes.   2. Turn off stove. Cover pot and let mixture stand for 12 hours. This 12 hours is important.      3. Reheat mixture to a near boil. The mixture should have boiled down to about 2 quarts(½ gallon). Pour mixture through metal strainer into a second container.     4. Pour tea into clean glass bottles and cap. Refrigerate as soon as possible. The tea is light sensitive, therefore amber bottles are the bestfor storing the tea.

Instructions for Use

1. Keep refrigerated. 2. Shake bottle well before using. 3. May be taken either cold from the bottle, or warmed (never microwave). 4. Once or twice daily, take 4 tablespoons (2 ounces) on an empty stomach (at least 2 hours after eating). 5. People suffering with illness may wish to take the tea twice daily. 4 tablespoons (2 ounces) once in the morning (5 minutes before eating) and once in the evening (at least 2 hours after eating).

Essiac Ingredients

This herbal formula contains four commonly existing herbs: Burdock Root (Arctium lappa), Sheep Sorrel (Rumex Acetosella, Indian Rhubarb Root (Rheum Officinale), and Slippery Elm inner bark (Ulmus Fulva). These four herbs may help normalize body systems by cleansing the blood, purging toxic build up, promoting cell repair and aiding in effective assimilation and elimination. When combined it is believed that their separate beneficial effects are enhanced.

Description and Actions of the Herbs

Burdock Root (Arctium lappa) Burdock cleanses the blood and lymphatic system. It contains Inulin, which strengthens the vital organs such as the liver, pancreas and spleen. It also reduces mucus and prevents formation of gall and kidney stones. Its vitamin A and selenium help eliminate free radicals and its chromium content helps regulate blood sugar levels.

Sheep Sorrel (Rumex Acetosella) Sheep Sorrel relieves internal ulcers and applied helps clear skin problems such as eczema and psoriasis. Rich in vitamins, and trace mineral elements, it nourishes the glandular system. Sheep sorrel contains silicon, a necessary element for nerves and the myellin sheath that protects them. Sheep Sorrel cleanses blood and improves liver, intestinal and bowel function.

Indian Rhubarb Root (Rheum Officinale) In small amounts, this herb acts as a gentle laxative and purges the body, especially the liver, of toxic buildup and waste. It helps counteract acids due to indigestion. Its malic acid also carries oxygen to all parts of the body, aiding in healing. Rhein present in the root, inhibits disease causing bacteria and candida albicans in the intestines. It helps reduces fever and inflammation. Studies show that rhubarb root has antibiotic and anti-tumor properties.
 
Slippery Elm inner bark (Ulmus Fulva) Principal component is mucilage which helps the body cleanse itself of toxic waste. It helps nourish and restore plasma in the blood and lymph in the lymphatic system. It improves intestinal flora and soothes asthma. It also helps relieve acids from indigestion and eczema.
